[Reluctantly, Chris rolls off the bed and climbs to his feet, running two hands through his hair to get it straight again]

[He watches the movement of Chris's hands attentively, curiously, and only barely resists the urge to lean over and mess his hair up again. But that would be stupid, right? Instead he smiles and lies back against the pillow, testing his split lip with his fingers.]
