[Vin doesn't spend a great deal of time thinking about what-ifs anymore. What's happened has happened, and it can't unhappen. It's all had its purpose, she supposes. But she had never wanted to hurt Zane. They could have been . . . something. Friends, at the very least.]
[There are plenty of wardens Vin doesn't care for. The shift of his status doesn't mean much on its own. Except for this: he's saved himself. He didn't need to destroy anyone to do it after all.]
[She snorts.]
Stop thinking so much.
[A pause. Then, with a deliberate lack of investment:]
[ Zane shifts his own weight, and Pulls the coin back; he steps out of the way just in time, and sends that same coin flying right back at her. And, from another, he pushes into the air.
The CES has made them an apparently sculpted park, with steep, rolling hills, trees, and pathways lined with stone. It is full of hiding places, steep stone drops, and almost empty of metal. ]
[She should be frightened. Or angry. Or anxious, or something. Instead, as she watches him rise, she's content. She feels as though gears have slid into place with a click she can feel in her bones.]
[The lack of metal is nice; it makes for more of a challenge. And she's prepared. She shoots up into the air and then sideways, Pushing against a coin she's lodged in the hollow of a tree - pulling it after her as she goes twisting past him, turns in midair, and begins to fall.]

Do you want to spar?
private
[ No hesitation, which surprises him, enough so that he takes an actual moment puzzling over the fact that yes, he really said that. ]
Sparring with Kelsier is - it's good. I still love being Mistborn. I don't think that's wrong.
private
[It's good that he has it all back. Which. She doesn't say, and doesn't particularly want anyone but her to know at all right now.]
It's what we are.

[ He is fierce, and stubborn, on this point. ]

[It's almost funny.]

[She hesitates.]
